A work in progress - much more to come (aren't you excited?) |

Killer Fuzz
Sometime around 1980-1981, Rick Ames got a drum set, I had a guitar and we recorded a song that was inspired by Chris Robinson. |

The Urge
The name came from a quote from my AP History class - "Manifest Destiny - the expansionist urge to move west." Started playing sometime in 1982 - Dennis Dunne on drums, David Dunne on Bass, Jeff Brown on Guitar and Mark Day on Vocals. By the fall/winter we realized we needed Mark Christianson on guitar as well. Played one gig with Day on vocals and moved on to Mark Fedeshak on Vocals. We never captured a recording after our first few practices . . .

The Greg Bays Sessions
This session happened during the summer of 1982 - Greg Bays with an unknown book of lyrics and Jeff Brown on drums and guitar - a spontaneous evolution of musical bliss. |

Digby & the Gimlets
1983-1984 - Mark Choiniere on vocals/bass, Scott Mildemow (woops) on bass/vocals, Todd Ennenga on drums and Jeff Brown on guitar. What joy it was to be in a college band. While trying to decide on a name, an overnight road trip to Saratoga, Wyoming showed us the light. We had decided to only drink Gimlets the entire night and on the way back to Laramie Mark saw a truck with "Digby's Yeloow Deliveries" on the side. The rest is history. |

Digby & the Gimlets, too
1984-1986 - Matt Lou on vocals, Joel Ostby on Bass, Todd Ennenga on drums and Jeff Brown on guitar. The reincarnation of the Gimlets was due to the overturn in students often seen during those college years. |

Gilbert & the Frogmen
1986-1987
A stuffed, bean-bag, amputated frog named Gilbert (something Choiniere had left behind) was the inspiration. Walter Hammontree on vocals, (it escapes me) on guitar, Jeff Brown on guitar, Joel Ostby on bass and Todd Ennenga on drums. Very short-lived but highly infectious. |
